NOMADUK "TROPIC" RANGE
We designed the NOMADUK "TROPIC" Range after working and living in not only Temperate and semi-Arctic conditions but also in Tropical and Desert environments to cater for a wide variety of climatic and fishing expeditionary circumstances.
As well as being purposefully tailored in a functional way and obviously designed across the range for hot climates these are technically serious garments that can be worn on any fishing expedition home or abroad.

Why c.95% Ultra Violet lightproof ? ..
 | Exposure to the sun over any expanse of water these days is more hazardous to the skin than twenty years ago as any Fresh- or Salt-water fly fisher in Australia and New Zealand (where the effect of the Ozone layer is most fealt) would confirm. |
| To varying degrees the same is also true when fishing in semi-Arctic Alaska, on British Stillwaters and certainly saltwater fly-fishing in the Tropics. Increase this exposure over time or concentrate it to unprepared skin surfaces and the hazard potential is further increased. |
Why use man-made fabrics and not cool cotton ?
| Whether in Temperate or Tropical climate one can get cold wearing cotton because it 'holds' water. It seems unlikely that one can end up shivering with good potential of catching a cold and ruining a holiday when caught in tropic rain, but that is exactly what happens. |
| Cotton's open weave gives little protection to U-V rays, whilst the tight weave of this man-made fabric increases locally the surface area thus bizarrely retaining warmth in temperate climates which possibly accounts for their popularity amongst participants of The NOMADUK PEREGRINE International Team Challenge 2000. |
The nature of the fabric used is very important, complemented by equally exacting design features and the result is the NOMADUK 'Tropics' which are comfortable to be worn in any climate (have been used as part of a layered system in Arctic expeditions).
a). TROPIC Shirts
To further enhance protection to back of neck and hands, NOMADUK 'Tropics' Shirts have higher than normal collars and also long sleeves with double buttoned cuffs. For added comfort the 'cut' is loose. Further features which show functional design for both Tropical and Temperate fly fishing include:
